Walk21 is an international partnership to champion the development of healthy, sustainable and efficient communities where people choose to walk.

Walk21 confirms the importance of walking at political and practical levels through the International Charter for Walking and the Make Walking Count project which is developing guidelines and tools for the capture and dissemination of walking data.

The network aims to support, encourage and inspire policy makers, researchers and practitioners to develop and implement best practice walking initiatives.

Walk21 provides an international platform for inclusive discussion, development of best practice and delivery of new initiatives through the international conference series, sponsored research projects and local consultancy services.
