"Le Monde" launches the third Smart Cities "Le Monde" awards, which recognize innovations applied to the city. Applications must be sent before 25 February 2018 (Europe projects) or before 13 May (projects outside Europe).
What will the cities of tomorrow look like? How can innovations serve the inhabitants, while respecting the privacy of citizens and including the entire population? What new services will allow for progress in the energy transition and the circular economy?
These fascinating questions are at the heart of the World's reflections . For this reason, the newspaper organizes, for the third year in a row, urban innovation awards, which aim to reward the best initiatives in these fields.
These prizes, awarded by Le Monde with the support of its partners, distinguish projects in different categories: civic participation; habitat; energy; mobility; cultural action; urban innovation (social or circular economy). Companies, communities, associations or individuals from all countries can apply. Projects must have entered an operational phase.
