After the first experience in Bogotá 2012 and Monterrey 2015, the III Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Housing and Habitat 2018 is part of a larger initiative: the regional platform for knowledge management and promotion of urban habitat best practices, called the Urban Housing Practitioner's Hub (UHPH), which will be officially presented at this event.
As housing is a central element in the construction of cities, the III Forum will focus on identifying advances from this sector towards the implementation of the New Urban Agenda (HIII); demonstrating through practices, approaches and policies how housing interventions can be integrated into a more holistic vision of the habitat contributing inclusion, resilience and sustainability to the settlements and the city.
On this occasion, Habitat for Humanity, together with Cities Alliance, UN Habitat and other UHPH partners, and with the special collaboration of the government of the Dominican Republic, invite this regional exchange and discussion space to share lessons learned, trends and challenges in the subject of housing and urban habitat, to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from June 12 to 14, 2018. Pre-register here and do not lose sight of the details.
