Towards a healthy city: World Vision Bangladesh's Efforts for Changing Lives in Urban Slums

To create a learning hub, develop urban specific project model and promote evidence based learning and capacity development of organization, World Vision Bangladesh initiated an Urban Learning Centre in Mirpur, Dhaka. The learning center was established in 2012 where needs of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for the low income communities, improved waste management mechanism and addressing nutrition needs considered as priority interventions. The major intent of these interventions includes improving health status of vulnerable groups, effective utilization of the resources and shift institutions into a responsive entity.
