Mexican President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa to attend World Habitat Day Global Observance

Mexico’s President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa and other dignitaries including, the country’s Secretary for Social Development Félix Guerra, UN-HABITAT Executive Director Dr. Joan Clos, and Aguascalientes Governor Carlos Lozano de la Torre, are some of the dignitaries attending the Global Observance of World Habitat Day.

Highlights of the public event marking the theme of Cities and Climate Change, include international and national awards for urban best practices, a university congress and a high-level gathering of Global Parliamentarians for Habitat.
